The American Institute of Architects (AIA)

The American Institute of Architects is a national professional association of architects that offers education, government advocacy, community redevelopment, and public outreach to support the architecture profession. AIA members adhere to a code of ethics and professional conduct intended to assure clients, the public, and colleagues of an architect's dedication to the highest standards in professional practice. Both the national and our local chapter, AIA Seattle, provide a wealth of resources for selecting and working with an architect.
