This small kitchen remodel created a "living kitchen" out of a typical 1960's split level for a chef who thrives on home entertainment. The project removed the walls which separated living from dining, focusing attention on the host and on the preparation of the meal at hand.

Enlarging the living room and relocating the main entry were the initial factors in the development of this project. Subsequent design investigations revealed an opportunity to integrate the house from a conglomerate of distinct remodels into one integrated home, through the use of new cedar siding and an updated deck overlooking Lake Washington.

Only the existing structure and roof were retained in the remodel of this 1960's rambler. Both the interior and exterior were upgraded to reflect modern details and aesthetics.

This modest master bathroom addition and bedroom remodel was integrated into the existing early 20th Century home, while preserving the character and scale of the original structure. All required structural upgrades were constructed inside the building, which reduced risk to the exterior siding and fused clinker bricks.

These two craftsman-influenced homes were constructed on adjacent lots for a pair of siblings. The easterly home location and foundation design were adjusted to preserve large tree on the left side of the site at the client's request.
